kind of depends how bad it was stuch. the rings may be stuck in the groves. in that case you will want to pull the pistons and clean the groves. No reson not to put the rings back in if they look good unless you just like to spend $. I would pull the valves out of the head and clean them up. Make sure you put them back in the same hole.
