My friends dad went out lookin for plows last night while we had a 4-H meeting, he found a guy who has alot of plows, almost 300;drag plows horse plows and some other kind of plows for horses. All the drag plows hes got he wants $350, for each and it dont matter what condition its in. Some of these plows the moldboards are rotted out, the wires for handles are gone and some other stuff. Now, We have 4 plows, We bought a ih 2f for $200 in working condition, A case 2f for $40, we need to attach a point and handle wires then it ready to go, My brother got the massey for free in very good condition, I bought a 3f ih for 200 in working condition on rubber, And this guy wants $350 for Piece of Crap plows. I dont get it, The guy is 80 years old, Whats he goin to do with all thoise plows? I think hes got $$$$$ in his eyes, My friends dad said you can see the greed. He asked the old guy WHat will $100 buy, the guy said Not much. We went on a road trip to pick up our case plow, And we stopped buy a guys place who had about 8-10 old farmalls, There was a wk-40 and a big mccormick a 15-30 or something amd a f-12 h and some other old ones. Rotting away outside. He also has a Mogul 8-16 it runs, rare and nice not restored. Then i saw A MTA, ive bin lookin for one, I asked him how much, HE said, If I was the whole owner in these id sell em cause i aint going to restore them, My uncle and i are part owner, i want to sell and my uncle dosnt want to. The mta is in a old barn, some holes in the walls but its still sheltered. I dont want to affend any of the older guys on here, but some of the old guys are real greedy, some want to sell cause they want the money, and others sell cause they are getting older and know the younger generation could preserve it and use it, I plan on keeping my plows as long as i can. Dont it make you mad when guys let stuff rot cause they just want the money? Sorry for such a long post.

The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
