If your thinking of a tractor diesel. I'm guessing you will have starter problems. Tractor's starters are on the transmission side of flywheel, pickups are on the engine side. Also make sure you have room for the oil filter.Another thing tractors use a wide flywheel with the ring gear back 41/2 in from the rear engine support. Pickups use a flat face flywheel with the ring gear directly above the clutch face ,the total flywheel is about an inch thick I've been doing some IH repowering, Iuse the IH 345V8. Right now I'm putting one in an M Put one in a 560 last winter.None of the problems you will run into can't be solved.
