Farmall Regular Clutch

Working on a Farmall Regular. Im not that familliar with them. I thought the clutch was rusted in when I got the tractor upon further inspection I'm wondering if it doesn't have wrong parts installed. The fly wheel is dished out 3/8ths of an inch, clutch plates also 3/8ths of an inch, 3/4th inch total. With the 3 bolts installed pulling the clutch facing back as far as possible, I am only able to get 3/4 to 7/8ths inch. It would seem I need some spacers in there or a deeper pressure plate. Did they make a change in parts somewhere along the line and somebody installed the wrong parts and gave up? I know this might sound a little confusing but any help would be greatly appreciated.
