Farmall 656 Carburetor Flooding

Hello, I'm somewhat new at working on
tractors. The carburetor would flood after
shutting down the tractor. I took it completely
apart, cleaned and flushed it out, and put it
back together. After that, there was no flooding
and the tractor ran great. It was still working
well a week later. Then, I ran the throttle high
for about a minute and then shut down the
tractor and it began dripping again. Did it burn
up all the gas in the bowl, the float dropped,
and the needle came out causing it to flood?
Should I bend the float adjusting tab a little so
the float can't drop enough for the needle to
come out? These are just my guesses, but I
thought I'd ask before I took the carburetor
apart again.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank
you in advance!
