A oldie but a goodie

Here is a story my Dad told me several years ago that is pretty entertaining.
Back in the late 60's, my dad was at a local tavern here in Iowa and was BS-ing with a bunch of guys over tractors and such. There happened to be a couple Deere boys and and some IH guys (including my dad). One of the Deere guys was giving a guy with an new 856 some crap because of how slow he was pulling his plow. The Deere guy happened to have a 4020 and said it was a lot more tractor than an 856. They went back and forth for the longest time, enjoying their fair share of adult beverages the entire time. Finally, late into the night, they finally got fed up with all the words, and decided to see once and for all whose tractor was tougher. They both went home and got their tractors. They went outside the bar in the middle of the street, backed up to each other, and chained the drawbars together. Everyone in the bar went out to watch. People were placing bets. They each gave 'em hell and dumped the clutches. I don't know what gears they were in, but Dad said the 856 pulled that 4020 all the way down the street! The 4020 had brand new tires, and he burned them down to nothing. Dad said you should have seen the black marks! The IH boys gave the Deere boys an ear full and the owner of the 4020 decided to go straight back home. He didn't have much to say.
I always liked the story and just thought I would pass it along.
