farmerjohn, I have a mower manual that has the Knife and Tool Grinder in it. It says they were built from 1900 to 1955. There was a "hand powered" one that clamped on the horse drawn mower wheel as the other fellows said and then there was a "foot powered" one that had a leg that appears to fold out with a seat on it. On the foot powered one, there is sprocket, chain and pedal that reminds you of a bicycle. The illustration has the number A-21215 by the hand powered one....and A-21216 by the foot powered one. I'll try the middle of next week to scan the page and post it on the board for all that are interested. Gary
