My father had a 1989 Ford F-250 HD with 6.9L Deisel. In He sold it in 1998 with 785,000 miles on it. Only work that was done was new injuctors at 535,000 miles. He sold it due to health problems that took him off the road. The new owner ran it another 138,000 miles before he replaced the engine. He still runs the truck today.
