Hugh, I've never seen a Canadian/British 444 or even a picture of one, so I did not know the sheet metal was different. The US 444 and 424 tractors were assembled in Louisville. The US 444 should have different serial numbers from the British/Canadian 444's I would think, however I have never looked for a British/Canadian 444 serial number so I can't be 100% posative. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
