I agree with Hugh, hook something to the remote and see if it will lift. The brakes and power steering are run off of a smaller, and different, pump. The pumps are not hard to get to, but I would check into the trouble-shooting guide in your IT manual before I tore into the pumps. I wish I was a little smarter so I could help you more. Let us know what you find out.
