I've got a borrowed Farmall 666 gas with loader in my yard. It starts fine runs fine until about 1/3 to 1/2 throttle, then dies out like it's starving for fuel. It will start right back up, but won't go over idle for a minute or two, then the same thing over again. If it wasn't gravity feed, I'd say it acts just like a failed lift pump. Seems like a plugged vent or fuel screen to me. Where are the screens on this machine? Sediment bowl is clean and full, even when it dies, so I don't suspect one in the tank, or really even the tank vent. Is there a screen at the fuel inlet to the carb? It's kinda tough to get to, the loader's in the way, so I'd like to know before I spend the time.
