Hi guys, I was catching up and noticed a couple of you asked about my strom damage. We have everything cleaned up, the steel trucked away, the buiding materials burned and all tidied up. The barn has new rafters in place and straped, the steel goes on on Monday. I have to get the foundations from my two sheds bulldozed and hauled. The builder doing the barn roof is working on figures for a 40'x80' shed. The tractor saga continues. I went in to Vincent's(Case-I-H) to see how they were coming. A new hood arrived for the 584 all smashed in and scratched in transit($1400) so they reordered another...a few more days hold up. The tractor repairs are going to top $5000, the house roof was $3800, the barn roof $12,200 and another $2000 for eave troughs and some missing boards. The new shed is going to run around$27,000 so my damages are likely to go over $50,000 by the time the other small repairs are made to various pieces of equipment. I will be out the cost of bulldozing and removing the old foundations, probably another $2000 or so. The cows are calving and I had one yesterday and another this morning..things are slowly returning to normal, the new shed could be started as early as next week and that would sure be great to have a work place and everyhting inside. I don't wish a storm on anyone and you really don't know what it does to a person until you have had it happen to you..anyway thanks CNKS and Wade for asking and all of you, my internet friends who gave me your moral support.....Mike in Exeter Ontario

Today's Featured Article - The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac. ... [Read Article]
