You must've gotten a good 460. Any 460 I've ever heard of, the word "gutless" has always been attached. I think the issue is with torque. A Super MTA/400/450 has big honkin' pistons where the 460's pistons are presumably significantly smaller. Horsepower is a product of torque and RPM. You can spin a little torque and a lot of RPM to get the same HP as a lot of torque and a little RPM. Tractors are all about lugging, and you need torque for that.
