I was going to put a new clutch disc into my SMTA a couple years ago, got the button type. They told me it was good for holding but harder to feather like for a loader. It didn't work right with my old pressure plate but this year I redid the bearings on my engine, got a new pressure plate and put in button clutch. Have not used it a lot but it is a bit touchy. For what you are doing I think I would go with regular plate instead of button type.
