I use SA,SAV,2-SC's,A and 2-Cubs to grow just about everything you can think of in Ontario. I use 30" rows for most things. I know it's wide for some things but it is a pain if all of your tractors can't go down all the rows and a wide row doesn't overwork your land. My A's and cubs are set at 40" centers. I like to scuffle only one row at a time (my favorite today is a Cub-144 one row cultivator). I have a SC set up with a two row scuffler but I do a better, more precise job with a one row. My C hasn't even moved yet and my Cub needs another tank of gas. But I wish I had the tool bar (252) that would make it possible to put two or three rows of spinach between a Cub's legs. I use shields for lettuce, cauliflower and for things like beets when they are an inch tall. Lift the shields when they can stand some burying. I use the points with one wing missing near the plants and wide wings else where. I lift the shields, go deeper and faster for things like garlic and larger corn so that the weeds are buried between the plants. Rule # 1...kill the weeds before you think you have any, at 1/2" or less. Sorry if I getting long-winded, it just happens to be a subject that on my mind and close to my heart right now. I took the scufflers off my SA and put a belly mower on cause my very fancy %$^&*# kabota mower is down and it was easier and cheaper to put my A to the task than to fix that orange thing, but I digress, if a photo of the Cub can help you set up, E-mail me micheal.lanigan@sympatico.ca You are putting that little A right where she loves to be and it will shine!!

Talk of the Town: How to Remove a Broken Bolt - by Staff. Another neat discussion from the Tractor Talk Discussion Forum. The discussion started out with the following post: "I have an aluminum steering gear housing with a bolt broken off in it. The bolt is about a 3/8" x 1 1/2" bolt. I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
