Same here with me. I did my 460G a couple of years ago and just blocked up the gas tank. Why are you puling the head, if I can ask? Mine was putting air into the radiator. Took the head off and took it to a engine rebuild shop. They MagnaFluxed it and checked it for plane and said the head was good. I didn't want to put it back on the tractor with out an answer so I called an old gentleman who was semi-retired from rebuilding engines. He checked it and found that it was warped side to side between two spark plug holes. We planed the head together and I put it back on and it worked great. Just my experience.
