Tom, I did my 560 a couple of years ago and had the same predicament. What I did, was drained the tank and removed. Then I took a hacksaw and cut the tank mount rails on each side so I could remove the front portion of the tank mount. That way I had plenty of room to work on engine. When it came time to reassemble, I drilled 2 holes toward each end of the tank mount rails on the section that I did not remove from the tractor, took 2 small pieces (approx. 5 inches long) of bar stock lying around and drilled 2 holes in each end and layed them inside the tank mount rails (can't put them on the outside or else the sheet metal will not fit right) and bolted the pieces to the stationary part and that left enough material to drill and bolt the other section I had removed. When I got it back together it was a perfect fit and next time I, or whoever has to get into the engine will only have to remove the tank and 2 bolts on each side of the tank mount rails and whala...plenty of room. It sounds complicated but it wasn't. Plus I didn't think about doing what Paul said. :)
