A better question is what dont I plant on 12" centers. Curcubits, solanacea, and corn. Alliums, root crops, all the brassicas, legumes just about everything you can imagine can be grown with great productivity on a 12"-18" double row system with the space you are describing between the beds. When you are pushing for return per acre this is a critical factor in the equation.
