With the engine running take off one plug wire at a time while listening attentively to the knock. When the knock stops, you will have the offending cylinder. If the knock remains after having tested each cylinder in the above manner then the knock most likely is not coming from the rods. You need to get some Plasti gage from NAPA a verify the bearing clearances before you get into more trouble.
