The Hs and Ms used the one pint wide mouth, the smaller As, Bs, and Cs used a half pint. Any jar which will thread into the air cleaner will work, but if you want an original appearing jar, it has to be a square jar. Also, the original jars were manufactured by the Ball company, and will say Ball special widemouth, emphasis on the special. These jars will sell for upwards of $20.00, if you can find one. Other brands of jars are okay to use, but you shouldn't have to pay over $5.00 for one of these. Apparently, the square shaped jars are no longer being manufactured.
