Walt, I think is is safe to say that when the F30's were bulit with the factory overdrive, the rear wheel size was changed down from 44's to 40's on the high clearance tractors. I have 30097 HSNW that has the 40's. The high clearance tractors were normally wide fronts used in sugarcane. Yours was probably built for the cotton fields as a special order, something that IH did frequently.
