Actually there are 4 different ways to mount them, which will give increasing amounts of clearance. It all depends on whether you have power steering, and how much mud you will be driving through. If you set them out wide, the tractor will plow mud better, but will be a real pain to steer, set in as narrow as possible, it will be easy to steer, but the wheels will ball up with mud quicker. It's up to you. Personally, I think they look best set in narrow.
