I just put an alt. on my super H. The best way to go is an alt from a 90's model toyota truck. It is a nippondenso unit that is a lot smaller than the delco and it has an internal regulator with the correct single groove pulley. I was able to use part of the original bracket. I picked one up on ebay and put new brushes in it for a total investment of 15.00. The original belt worked out to be the right size. I had a 10si delco alt available but it was to big to fit under the hood and still have room to tension the belt.
