Did you ever unstick the pistons on the Farmall M? If you haven't freed them. remove the head and pour automatic transmission fluid over pistons. Let soak for a day or two. Remove rod caps and use a piece of 2X2 oak or maple wood to drive against the rod. I restored a Farmall A that had the pistons stuck and that is how I got the pistons out. The A has wet sleeves and some of them came out with the pistons still stuck so I use a torch to heat the sleeves and the pistons came out easily. I put in a new sleeve kit with new pistons and rings. I used the same connecting rods. I don't think the oil was ever changed in this tractor. It ran like a new one when started and I plowed my garden with it. Hal
