If it has the original engine, check the engine serial on the machined surface under the #1 spark plug. All but the last 19000 or so of the A, AV, B, BN had matching engine and chassis serial numbers. Also look for casting codes on the cast parts in the format of month*day*year, where the year will be a letter from J (1940) thru R (1948)--then look up the serial to the left on this site and compare.
