Another possibility is that there is a piece of debris under the seat of the relief valve. My MD had real good oil pressure after an overhaul and then one day the oil pressure was way down. Next time I drove it and since it has good oil pressure. All I could figure was that some piece of dirt or something had blocked the relief valve open. Roger
