JD: If you make it by that steering box and it's contents you should be allright. Parts for that steering box will be expensive. Good used worm and cog will be scarce. If CaseIH still have them they will be expensive. I doubt if the after market guys will be much less. This has been one repair on an offset Farmall that always seem out of line. I might add the only fix I've found to be out of line. I've owned 6 of these little tractors in the past 45 years and have to say the only time I ever felt really cheated was on steering box parts. Everything else was fair to reasonable. Sorry I wasn't much help, just thought I may make you feel better about the rest of tractor.
