You're certainly entitled to your opinion. My experience has been it's the standard 3-point design that's the pain; hooking up to a heavy piece of equipment unassisted is more work, if not danger, than I want as long as something easier and better is readily available. As far as I'm concerned the conversion as I described for the 300U is the best of both worlds. Finding equipment the right width is generally a matter of checking with a tape measure; almost everything made by a legitimate manufacturer fits just fine, it's mostly the backyard builders you have to watch.
