Dick The only differences I am aware of are the stage II's were later productions (battery under the seat, disc brakes and seperate Hydro tank that was mounted under the Fuel tank.The Data tag was stamped with a L at the beginning of the SS # As far as being a Louisville it is my understanding that during production of the SM IH had trouble keeping up with the sales demand and the decision was made to ship the castings and parts by rail to the Louisville plant for the tractors to be built. There was not a large number of the SM done at the Louisville Plant.
