The Original farmall came out in 1924. It was a row crop multi purpose tractor unlike anything that had been produced up untill that time. In 1923 it was upgraded to a Model F-20 and other models added to the line. At that time the company started refering to the original Farmall as the "Regular"
So if you have a Farmall built in 1948 is is not a "Regular" but could still be very much a "Farmall" The Farmalls built in 1948 had letter designations such as A, B, C, H, and M
