If the touchmatic you have is anything like my 140, then the manual says to fill to within a half inch of the fill plug WITH BOTH LEVERS ALL THE WAY BACK (cylinders retracted). I failed to do this the first time and the reservoir develops pressure and blow fluid out if you remove the plug with the levers back. The manual also states to run the levers back and forth 10 or 12 times with the plug loose to quickly get rid of trapped air.
