fast hitch hook up

There are 2 allen head plugs where the hyd. lines bolt onto the hyd. tank. Can they be used to hook up a valve? Also I am gonna cut some holes in my tool box for the hitch support. From a pic I got on ydt it looks like its about in the center and about 6 inches from the back. Is that correct? Thanks
