I think the woodruff key slot is O.K. on either side. Actually, I've had a couple of folks who've had a fair amount of experience on heavy equipment say they thought the tractor had low hours by the play in the pedals, etc. The arms the woodruff key locks don't really wobble at all on the shaft so I think that link is sound. I looked at the welds on the cams and didn't see anything like a crack but I didn't do a close inspection so, the next time I'm in there I'll do a full wash with solvent and see if I can see anything.
