No, it has to be split. also ther is a problem that if you have an older model the original seal has a slightly smaller o.d. than the current ones, and you must either buy a new seal retainer or use some type of sealer such as wind shield seler to keep it from leaking. Being overful will not make the seal leak. If your cub is manufacturing motor oil you probably have a seal leaking in your hydralic pump.
