Before you get too deep in the idea of arc
welding the casting you should read the 3 or
4 pages on the lock-n-stitch web site ( quite
educational ). It is a how to weld cast and
which is the best process. I do quite a bit of
acetylene/oxy cast iron welding and below is a
link to some pictures of cast iron repair and
some other things.
