Hi all, I'm restoring a 1943 H and have a question regarding a part of the seat assembly. The part in question is a rod that is located under the right side of the seat pan. It protrudes out 4 1/2 inches on one end and continues through both slotted brackets that allow the seat to be tilted forward. I understand why it goes through the slotted brackets but what purpose does the 4 1/2 end serve? Anyone have any ideas? I've been reading the IHC forum for several months but have never posted before. It's really a great resource especially for people like me that are just getting started with thier first tractor. I wish I had been able to start years ago, its really a hoot. I feel a certain kinship with this old fellow, he's only 7 years my junior. (And probably in better shape than I am). Anyway, thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have on the seat rod.
