42FarmallH is on the track. I have a 1950 M that had low oil pressure. When I tore it down, I found flaking crankshaft bearings. Fortunately, I caught this problem in time that all it took was grinding the crankshaft to 0.020” undersize. If your oil pressure gauge checks out, drain the oil and look in the drain plug for bearing flakes. These will be shiny metallic flakes that you can dent and scratch with your fingernail. If the gauge is correct and you have flakes, you have problems coming. Hope your gauge is busted!
