Just wanted to share a story about my best freind. A 53 Farmall Super H SN 11967J. I have had this tractor since I was 10, I am 29 now. Dad got this tractor for me for a birthday present, and it is still my favorite out of all the others I have. Dad and I rebuilt the engine 2 years after purchasing it, It is all bone stock, and I like it that way. Just put in a good new set of fire craters, and sleeves, the whole 9 yards.. I started pulling it when I was 12, took it to my first pull, did not do so well at first, a few years later it was the tractor to beat in the light farm classes in our club. It has won 7 points cahmpionships over a few years, Last year as well!! I am very proud of the ol Super H. It has had a wonderful career in antique pulling. Not one bit of trouble out of it!! Now, my focus has changed a bit for this tractor.. I am retiring it from the tracks, and bringing it back to the antique workforce. Over the winter, I had done a lot of work to it, and putting it all back together in working clothes. I have the fenders, lights, battery box, Hyd, belt pulley, ya know all the stuff that is supposed to be on this tractor, and had came off of it origianlly. I am the second owner of this tractor, Dad bought it from the original owner, where it had sat ina barn for about 7 years, retired from a life of raking hay, and bringing hay wagons in from the fields. That was all they used it for then he said. it still ran, and was in great shape, I did repaint it about 11 years ago, looked pretty good for my first restoration, now it has aged, and is in need of a face lift, I am really looking forward to it!! Anyways, just wanted to tell you all about my freind of 19 years. Wont ever part with it,, some people have motorcyles, some have vettes, some collect antiques, well for me,, this ol super H is better than all of what I mentioned to me, Just my thoughts,, ChadS

Women and Tractors - Tractor Engine Repair - by Teri Burkholder. One of the great things about working on a tractor engine with your other half is that you know what he is thinking of at all times and can anticipate his every move and his next thought of what he will do. With Ben, anyway, I can tell! He'll be busy working and I’m handing him tools and he says, "give me that..." and I’ve already got it in his hand or "hand me that....."and I’ve got the portable light right where he needed it placed to see. "Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
