I'm looking into modifying the distributor shaft plate on my '47 H from its marked '8L' (gas start deisel) configuration it is in now to the '22L' gas-only advance is should've been. The reason I'm not just buying the gas-only shaft is that it's $90 and the shaft I have is in very good shape. From earlier posts, it doesn't look like that big a deal to drill or file out the slot to get the correct advance. I'm wonderiing if I can get a tracing on paper of the outline and slot length of the plate from someone who has a '22L' distributor shaft disassembled. I realize this is a long shot but I haven't been able to find one around here. Thanks for your time.
