Nebraska cowman, Nope, the guy - pretty knowledgeable - that sold me my old style WFE without wheels made sure I understood the wheels were H size. Doesn't make sense that WFE spindles were smaller than narrow front but 'tis true.

Richard the cheapest way out at this point is to buy front rims with loops. They are the most common rims. Maybe you could swap your rarer rims for the more common loops. Best of Luck my nickel Dick Davis.
