If its a D301 its the same external size, could be simply transposed numbers, they made a D236/282/301 all same size external, all were glow plug start diesels, if its truly a D310 they were direct start (no glow plugs) also commonly called a german diesel. I cant tell how close they are in size but would be surprised if that close. D236-282-301 would bolt in.
