I removed the stock hydraulic system except for the pump. Then I built a supply tank to fit in the area under the gas tank and act as a support for the gas tank. I cut the original pipes going to the pump and welded 1/2” pipe couplings onto them. I have the fill for the tank a 1/2” pipe coupling on the air cleaner (left) side and drilled a hole in a 1/2” pipe plug to vent it. I have a 1/2" coupling at the bottom of the pump (right) side and have a nipple and a tee on this. I mounted a valve spool with a pressure relief valve on the top of the steering support where the original hydraulic controls were. The pressure side of the pump goes to the valve spool, and a hose(s) for pressure (could be single or double acting) to the rear of the tractor. The return from the valve spool goes to the tee at the bottom of the tank, and the suction side of the pump is also connected to this tee. The system works great as long as you have a big enough cylinder on the implement. Maybe someone else out there knows of a way to do both. LOL…
