the book only gives a minimum length of 424" for the upper belts. it says that belts less than 424" must be lengthened. it also says to check belt length variation thus: raise the rear gate all the way open and measure the sag midpoint from the bottom roller on the gate, to a straight line to the roller above the front hold down roller (sag on the long exposed part of belt). if sag exceeds 8", mark these belts, close gate and adjust belt length as required affecting the least number of belts. an 8" sag indicates approx 5" of belt length difference. btw, the 241 operator's manual is part # 1095094R1.
