Depends on your finances. As Allen in NE said, replacement is insurnace against future problems. I have done it both ways with success; if you know the clutch was working OK before, you could take a chance and just replace the friction disk. Clean off all oil & grease on the flywheel and pressure plate friction surfaces with a de-greasing spray and check the throwout bearing for roughness; be sure the grease zerk in the flywheel that lubes the bearing is functioning. (Align the single mark on the front pulley with the timing pointer; it lines up the zerk with the hole in the bottom of the clutch housing) Check the splines on the shaft and use a file to remove any sharpness. The disk must slide easily on the splines to be able to shift and not grind the gears to much. Use a non-greasy lube (WD-40, JB-80, graphite, etc.) and insert into the friction disk. Clean the friction disk with de-greaser also and install the parts withought putting your greasy fingers on the cleaned surfaces. Center the friction disk and tighten the cap screws carefully. I do not recall the torque value.
