All, My Super A (1948) was repainted so some decals weren't replaced in the IH "repaint" package. One decal I am trying to figure out is the patent decal, it's about 3" long and 3/4" wide, yellow with a black outline located on the LH seat support bracket, up ahead of the serial number tag. I sanded on mine a little bit and revealed most of the outline of the decal, but the lettering on it is so small it's pretty much illegible. Does anyone know of a unrestored Super A where you can still see the decal?? I want to see if I can get a copy made. This is what I have so far, the ------ represents unlegible text. There appears to be two sets of numbers on all these lines here. The big space represents the second column) -At the top, it says US PATENTS (maybe) -Next line: 069-------2--- ---- 247 658 -Next line: ---------------- -----262 876 -Next line, one solid line: PA ------- --RCH --- 1941 (I think this line may say something to the effects of patents applied for in Canada in March, maybe March 29?? 1941. The 1941 is crystal clear. Please help! Al
