Elwood MFG Co. did not become a factory installed fwa axle until the IH 86 series came out. To the best of my memory, IH never offered factory installed fwa on tractors prior to the 706-806. The 06 tractors that had factory fwa had a metal emblem attached to the cowling from a SCOUT that said "all wheel drive". The axle used was made by coleman. The early Elwood fwa axle could be adapted to the M farmall. I believe Elwood started in 1948???? They are out of business now, but most parts are offered thru Trac 4.
