I agree with the other posters about a tooth being off rev gear, but to address your concern about a bearing, you should pay close attention when you change the hyd filter as to how many filings are present, I have a 1066, for years the filter compartment was always very clean, then i noticed metal shavings and not long after a bearing growl. pay close attention to this and you will get some warning when you have bearing trouble.
