Mark,
"Daylight Savings Time" was instituted before I can remember (I'm 52). My dad told me the idea was to have longer evenings so folks could do things in the daylight hours after working a full day on the job. The drawback to that in the Winter is that kids are going to school in the dark in parts of each time zone. The switch is so the kids don't have to walk to the bus stop or to school in the dark when they are obviously in a more dangerous situation. I agree, and wish the practice would end. Go to Standard Time all the time and forget about trying to save daylight in a box. Phil
