Sounds like you are thinkin bout right in the hp range, but don't let the fuel use scare you away from a good deal on a 1066. I have a 1066 for a chore tractor and fuel use isn't as bad as one would think. I will say that when I work it hard all day, which isn't often, it'll drink it's share. Won't hold a candle to the way the 6030 JD I used to disk with would drink it. No dout, I could get by with half the hp 90% of the time, but all that weight and pull comes in handy more time than you'd think. I'm not using mine to make a living, so I don't keep up with fuel cost per hour, but it isn't costing me enough to swap it for a smaller tractor. Mitch
