I checked the ammeter last night, and it is connected correctly. My guess is that the comments are correct about the charging rate and the voltage regulator being out of sinc. I will try to find a local shop who can help me with this one and either adjust the VR or whatever I need to to to get this thing charging again. thanks for all the comments
